Adilas Market
Project Description
This was a rather large project, in the price range of $12,000+. Another developer (Nick Voughn) and I built this project together. I was mostly in charge of layout, concept and design, graphics and project management; Nick was in charge of most of the backend development. The overall project consisted of connecting the Adilas database to a frontend service market so consumers can view profiles submitted by companies selling their services. This project also made it possible for companies to login and create their profiles to display on the frontend. Sounds simple enough, but it certainly took a while. If it’s still available, it will be located here.
What I Learned from this Project
This is one of the first projects I managed, as well as one of our first projects for AFB. This project was originally bid out by another developer at $1,000 – $3,000. It ended up being around $12,000 to complete it. Honestly, it was a painful experience, but I did learn a lot. I learned how to manage projects better, how to hold people more accountable, how to more accurately bid out projects, and many other skills.
